I specialize in individual and couple's therapy in my private practice in Washington, DC. With over fifteen years of experience as a therapist, I consider my self a respectful and empathetic psychodynamic therapist that also integrates different approaches such as cognitive behavioral (CBT) and strength-base perspectives to help the people I work with effectively address personal life challenges and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
Before I started my private practice I worked at the National Prevention Council (NCPC); La Clinica del Pueblo (a community clinic in Washington DC) and in Nueva Vida, a support network for Latinas with Cancer. Each of these fantastic job opportunities formed me as a the therapist that I become.
Along with my full time private practice, I continue to provide services for Nueva Vida, helping women and their families facing a cancer diagnosis.
I am a passionate learner that highly value supervision and high quality postgraduate education. Recently, I completed a two year's program in Clinical Psychotherapy at the Washington School of Psychiatry in Washington DC.
I am open to questions that you might have. And, I look forward engaging on a collaborative therapeutic experience!
